How the West Was Styled
Meet the Founders
Jess & Nat: An Unexpected Pair, A Singular Vision
Jess brings authentic American grit and a lifelong reverence for Western tradition, refined through years of storytelling and craftsmanship in the art of classic hat making. Natalie is the strategic mind behind the brand—decidedly not a horse girl (and quite sure horses feel the same), but a visionary when it comes to reimagining underserved markets with elegance and edge.

Redefining Equestrian Style
What began as a hunt for quality Western gear in the UK quickly uncovered something more: an equestrian market dominated by bland, utilitarian design and outdated assumptions. At Bad Cowgirl Co., we saw a gap—and we stepped in, boots first.
For too long, the industry has been designing for women without truly seeing them. Most gear is built by men, but it’s women who set the pace—and they deserve more than functionality. They deserve refinement, attitude, and a sense of self-expression. We design for the modern cowgirl: bold, discerning, and unapologetically stylish.
Rooted in Wisdom, Built by Community
Bad Cowgirl was born from hard work and honest conversations with horsewomen and horsemen who know the land, the lifestyle, and the legacy. Most importantly, we’ve built our brand by listening—really listening—to the women who live this life every day.
The response has been powerful, and we’re honored by the trust our community places in us. Every product is thoughtfully crafted by cowgirls, for cowgirls—because no one understands what we need like we do.
In a world of overbuilt gear and underwhelming design, we’re raising the bar. Grit and grace aren’t opposites—they’re the new standard.
